Alaskan Golden Cedar is the hardest known cedar in the world. It has straight grain and is almost completely knot free, giving a beautiful, clean, contemporary look when used as cladding. It's uniquely long life span makes this a timber you can install and forget.
It's natural colour, as the name suggests, is a 'clotted cream' yellow. However, when oiled, it gives the look of very high grade red cedar. If left to silver naturally, the wood takes on a uniform, reflective (almost metallic) silver colour which remains unchanged for many decades.
Shown here, coated with Osmo Oil.
